Orlando Balloon Rides launches nation's largest hot air balloon

Orlando Balloon Rides is now flying the nations largest hot air balloon!!

The balloon towers more than 11 stories high, filled with nearly a half-million cubic feet of hot air. It carries 24 passengers into the Central Florida skies.  By comparison, the new balloon is four to five times the size of a standard four-person balloon.

"There is a significant demand for hot air balloon rides in Central Florida," says Jason Schulke, CEO of Orlando Balloon Rides. "It is a true bucket-list item and we allow anyone to experience the thrill of floating in a hot air balloon."

"A typical balloon would hold about 4 people and contain about 90,000 cf in the envelope..which is the top part... This new balloon will hold 24 passengers and contain 425,000 cf. You could fly the average balloon inside this balloon."
